Forge a positive way forward for all tamariki Māori.

Ropine Campbell Tahatika - Hero for Māori Education, from Maire Gabolinscy

Ropine Campbell Tahatika (pictured with her tamariki) - Kaiako tau 3 - 4.  Ākomanga Rua Mano of Te Kura Whakapūmau i te Reo Tūturu ki Waitaha.

The class took on Argentina (Āketīna) to celebrate World Cup Rugby.  Lots of work went into the making and painting of their outfits.

Maurea Krimson Heemi-Teriaki aged 8 years wrote about her teacher.  Her mum Whaea Ngawari spoke at assembly to say she had corrected some spelling and sentence structure, however the words had all come from Maurea. You can view Maurea's letter here: Letter%20from%20Maurea.docx

Here is Maire Gabolinscy (left) and Ropine Campbell Tahatika (middle) with Maurea (right).

I also presented Ropine with a 'Hero for Māori Education' award for all her hard work in the classroom.
